Salvation

Now you do not have to read this but this is a warning. If you do not agree with my religion fine, but I am just trying to share the Gospel the way Jesus would want us to. Jesus Christ was born and he died on the cross for everyone so that one day we can live with him in Glory. Now, I know this is a site about sports, but I love sharing faith as much as I can. Note: I have failed to express my faith a lot, and I have even failed to watch what I say on these boards. I have cursed, I have bashed, and I have even accused, I fall short of his Glory everyday, but I stay strong in his Word.

1) Admit you are a sinner and turn away from your sin.

Acts 3:19 says: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (NIV)
Repent literally means "a change of mind that results in a change of action." To repent, then, means to admit you are a sinner. You change your mind to agree with God that you are a sinner. The resulting "change in action" is, of course, the turning away from sin.

2) Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life.

John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (NLT)
Believing in Jesus is also a part of repenting. You change your mind from unbelief to belief, which results in a change of action.

C. Confess that Jesus is your Lord.
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (See verse 10.)

Pray this prayer:

Lord, I know that I have fallen short of your honor. Father I believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for my sins. Father I know that I am a sinner. I pray Father that you would come into my heart, my life, and live in me. I pray that people can see that I am a Christian, by word and by action. I love you Father, and I want to grow in your will. Forgive me Father of my sins.

Amen.

It is that simple. Now, join me in Christ.
